Welcome to the consultation on finding a new Rector for the Osney Benefice

which includes the churches of St Peter & St Paul, Botley; St Lawrence, North Hinksey; St Frideswide, West Oxford and St Margaret of Antioch, Binsey.

In order to find the right person to replace Revd Clare we need to create a document called a “Statement of Needs”, and we need your help to do this well.

We have put together a short online questionnaire for the congregation HEREand a separate online questionnaire for the wider community HERE. Please select the questionnaire which best applies to you. Your responses will give us the views of regular worshippers at our churches and those who use the church and its buildings in other ways, or perhaps only attend a church once a year for example, the community meals, local larders, Botley Arts exhibitions, carol services, concerts, meeting spaces and other outreach activities.

When you have selected the appropriate questionnaire imagine you are writing the answers for a new Rector to read — what would you want them to know? Feel free to answer the questions as we have phrased them, but also to answer in your own way and to tell that prospective Rector whatever would help them to know they are the right person to take the benefice from strength to strength.

Your response is anonymous. We will be collating and thematising all replies, so please be as honest as you want — the difficult answers are the most useful ones.
