From 12th July we begin public worship again

We are pleased to announce that public worship in St Frideswide, St. Peter and St. Paul and

St. Lawrence will recommence on Sunday 12th July.  The pattern will be as follows:

Sundays                    St Frideswide: 8.30am, 10.30am and 5.00pm

St Peter & St. Paul: 9.30am Eucharist

                                    St Lawrence: 11.30am Morning Prayer

Monday:                     St Frideswide: 9.30am Morning Prayer

Wednesday:              St Peter & St Paul: 10.30am Eucharist (instead of at Field House)

Thursday:                  St Lawrence: 9.00am Morning Prayer

Friday:                        St Peter & St Paul: 9.00am Morning Prayer

This pattern is designed to be sustainable up until Christmas, bearing in mind my sabbatical leave from 31st August to 21st November and Jo’s retirement on 4th October.

We have received very detailed advice from the Government and the House of Bishops’ and I want to reassure you all that the necessary risk assessments will be done and hygiene measures put in place to ensure those who feel able to return to church can do so safely.

The two metre rule will apply in church and this will inevitably limit the number of people who can be in the building at any one time.  Because of this, we have introduced a couple more opportunities for worship at St Frideswide.  Next week we will send out full details of measures that will be in place in the churches.

There is no expectation that everyone will want to come back to church straight away and we anticipate that many of you will want to continue to join in with online worship.  Church at Home with others around the Diocese will still be available via the diocesan website at 10am every Sunday.  Please do contact any of the clergy or churchwardens if you would like to chat about this.
