This year we need to make a completely new electoral roll for the parishes of St Frideswide with Binsey, and for North Hinksey with Botley. The Electoral Roll records the members of our congregation and gives them the right to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meetings and to stand for election

We were saddened by news of the tragic death of a man in his 60s near St Frideswide Church on Botley Road, Oxford, on Tuesday evening.

Could you be the person we need?

North Hinksey with Botley PCC urgently needs a second churchwarden to help our two churches thrive and fulfil their mission in our community.

Throughout the Christmas services we invited our congregations to contribute to charitable work with children through their giving at our services.  This year the Christmas giving came to £1,189

I’m afraid that this year we didn’t have a volunteer to co-ordinate the Reverse Advent appeal and sadly decided not to go ahead. So instead we would like to encourage people to support the Gatehouse Christmas Appeal.

The St Lawrence Christmas Fayre taking place on Dec 1st 10-2pm at St Peter & St Paul Church Hall has nominated North Hinksey and Botley Primary Schools as two of the charities it wants to support this year.

After Christmas we will be starting baptism and confirmation groups for adults and young people. These groups are to help you explore more about what it means to be a Christian, usually joining others who are exploring faith as well.

St Lawrence has announced it will ring its bells at 12.30 pm following the Sunday Service & Act of Remembrance in the church at 11.30am. It will join hundreds of other churches who will also ring their bells to commemorate an important moment in history.

Today we are opening up St Peter & St Paul to everyone interested in weddings. If you're thinking about getting married in church Revd. Clare will be on hand to talk about how you go about it. We're also excited to be launching our own Weddings Guide!
